For us, integrity and compliance are the basis for a trustful partnership and cooperation. This can only be achieved if companies, employees and business partners have a common understanding of values and all work in unison.

We are committed to the responsible procurement of production and non-production material as well as services. In addition to the Group companies, we also define clear requirements for our business partners. Therefore, we pay attention to the business partners’ compliance with the law when selecting them. We also expect that our business partners ensure the compliance with the law throughout the value chain.

In our Daimler Truck Business Partner Standards, we have formulated what we expect from our business partners in detail: in this document, we define our requirements for our business partners with regard to respect for and support of human rights, good working conditions, protection of the environment, integrity and compliance with legal requirements. Compliance with these standards is the most important prerequisite for successful cooperation.

We are strongly committed to respect and support human rights and we expect the same from our business partners throughout the value chain.

We reaffirm our commitment in this Declaration of Principles on Social Responsibility and Human Rights. In accordance with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, we work to ensure that business partners, in particular our direct suppliers, respect human rights, and are committed that this is also the case with indirect suppliers, take appropriate measures and engage in dialog with our suppliers. 

We also provide our business partners with a specifically developed Compliance Awareness Module. The module raises awareness of current requirements and provides our suppliers and sales partners with assistance in dealing with potential compliance risks.
