BID – What you need to know

Today marks the beginning of a new era of collaboration: BusinessID has officially launched!
From now on, you will benefit from greater convenience and clarity. A single account is all you need to work seamlessly with us – no more multiple user accounts and passwords. One login, everything at a single point of view.

Please read the following FAQs carefully – they contain all the important information you need to navigate the new features safely and confidently.

  • What is BusinessID?

    Daimler Truck BusinessID is a uniform digital identity that enables access to various Daimler Truck services and applications. It simplifies registration, increases security and ensures seamless use across all platforms.

  • BusinessID login

    From now on, you only need a single account to work seamlessly with us. No more managing multiple user accounts or passwords – everything is now simple and clear with a single login.
    This account contains all relevant data, including supplier number(s), roles and rights.

    First-time login? Start by resetting your password and setting up multi-factor authentication (MFA).
    Then simply log in with your email address.

  • Registration and initial login

    After go-live, registration will continue to take place via the Supplier Portal. However, the first user of the organisation must be initiated in the SDB-T during the creation process.

  • Password Management

    Forgotten your password? Your password is now managed via BusinessID.

  • Add additional supplier number

    With the go-live of BusinessID, you only need a single account that contains all relevant data, including supplier number(s), roles and rights.
    If access to an additional supplier number is required, this can be easily requested here.

    Simply enter your supplier number and apply for membership. The responsible portal manager/OrgAdmin will receive a request. 

  • Portal Manager / OrgAdmin

    A Portal Manager, or OrgAdmin, as we will call the role in future, manages user accounts that are linked to a supplier number. They approve user registrations and can authorise the use of applications. Several OrgAdmins can be assigned to a supplier number.

  • Request role

    You can request additional applications as usual via the application list.
    To do so, click on ‘Request new application’. A window will open in which you can search for and select the desired application. After submitting, your request will be automatically forwarded to your Portal Manager or OrgAdmin.

    Important new feature:
    If you have several supplier numbers stored in your account, please select the appropriate supplier number for which you wish to request the application under ‘Selected organisation’.

    It usually takes up to 24 hours for the role to appear in your profile. Please wait until this 24-hour period has elapsed before contacting support to avoid unnecessary ticket creation.

  • Applications

    Your applications are visible here as usual (login required).
