BusinessID Go-Live 29.09.2025

We’re quickly approaching the go-live of BusinessID on September 29, 2025.
This change brings a major benefit for you: greater convenience and clarity. From now on, you’ll only need one account to collaborate with us. Managing multiple usernames and passwords will be a thing of the past – one login is all it takes.

Important Notice: System Freeze Ahead
In preparation for the go-live, there will be a system freeze from September 25 to 29. During this period, no new user accounts can be created, and no new role requests can be submitted.
However, existing users will still be able to log in and use the applications as usual.

  • User consolidation

As part of the transition to BusinessID, existing user accounts will be consolidated.
This means that if multiple accounts are identified with the same email address, we will merge them into one main account.

The main account will take over all relevant information, including supplier number(s), roles and rights.
After the transition in the third quarter of 2025, you will only need to reset your password when you log in for the first time.

Important: If several people use the same email address, each person will need their own unique email address in future. This is the only way to ensure correct consolidation and continued cooperation.

Further information can be found here.

  • Freeze Period

In preparation for the BusinessID go-live, there will be a freeze period from 25 to 29 September:

    • Regular activities in ALICE can continue until 24 September 2025.
    • From 25 September 2025, access to the ALICE user interface will be restricted for all users, marking the start of the freeze period – changes or activities will then no longer be permitted.
    • All changes made in ALICE up to 24 September 2025 will remain available in the production environment of the IAM shop.
    • Logging in to the application is not affected – users can continue to log in as usual.
    • From 29 September 2025, users will then be able to carry out their activities as usual in Alice's successor system, called IAM Shop.

  • Alice successor: IAM Shop

Tasks currently performed by portal managers in Alice will be handled by the new IAM Shop when BusinessID goes live.

You can access the IAM Shop via your portal manager role. Further information can be found here.

  • What is BusinessID?

Daimler Truck BusinessID is a uniform digital identity that provides access to various Daimler Truck services and applications. It simplifies login, increases security and ensures seamless use across all platforms.

  • BusinessID Login

From now on, you only need a single account to work seamlessly with us. No more managing multiple user accounts or passwords - everything is now simple and clear with a single login.

To get started, simply log in with your e-mail address and set a new password.

  • What is an identity and access management (IAM) system?

Identity and Access Management (IAM) system is a framework of policies and technologies that ensures that the right people have access to the appropriate technology resources within an organisation.

IAM can be compared to a club bouncer:

    • The club = Daimler Truck's digital environment
    • The identity = A club member's ID card, which proves their identity
    • Authentication = The bouncer who checks the ID card before granting access
    • Authorisation = The bouncer's list, which determines which areas are accessible

Similar to how security personnel in a club ensure that only the right people are granted access, IAM protects Daimler Truck's digital resources by managing access rights and ensuring that only authorised persons can access the relevant services. This ensures security, efficiency and compliance across the entire digital environment.
