ELO: the stand-in solution for FAPLIS4Experts

Based on the CMS ELO Digital Office, Daimler Truck offers a centralized platform for data management and the exchange of factory planning documents. As of October 21, 2024, the system will replace the former FAPLIS4Experts and will be implemented company-wide to support planning and operations.

Accessing ELO

For external users, the system is accessible through a web interface and is primarily meant for the exchange of documents. Log into the portal to reach the application's authentication page. To access ELO from there, you can contact your contractor or reach out to the FP Hub-Careline during operating hours.

For employees, a desktop application with extended functionality is provided to enable all relevant activities.

Classification of documents in the 3 Worlds Model

Working environment
In the working environment, CAD documents are processed. Here, the planner can create various working documents without using an invalid or outdated planning status as the basis for further planning. The workplace is comparable to the planner's desk.

Project environment
Documents in the project environment are called project documents. These are created by publishing working documents. The process is recorded in the system (time, responsible party, source document). Therefore, the project environment contains only official and documented planning statuses.

As-built environment
Documents in the as-built environment are called as-built documents. These are created by publishing working or project documents. The process is recorded in the system (time, responsible party, source document). Therefore, the as-built environment contains only official and documented statuses. This environment represents a revised snapshot of the conditions on site.
